Book Review - The Methamorphosis

The Methamorphosis is a story that created by Franz Kafka. This novel was published in 1915. After that, this story became as one of the best fiction of the 20th century.
Gregor Samsa is the main character of this story. He has one younger sister. He works as a travelling salesmen, and he have to provide money for his sister and his mother.
The story begin when Gregor Samsa wake up and he find himself became a cockroach as large as a man. His mother very afraid with him, and her father will hit him if he out from his bed room. But, his young sister was kind, she tried to treat her brother. For example, she bring some foods for Gregor Samsa. After that, because of this incident, Gregor Samsa lost his job. He was very hopeless. Then, he died and all of his family seems to feel relieved.
This execessive from this short story is we can feels the high of imagination when Gregor Samsa became a cockroach. For example, when he looks at his body, he is very shock and depress.
The weakness from this short story is when Gregor’s father hit him, and his family feels happy when he died. It’s very cruel and it makes the reader think if Gregor’s family never love with him.
The moral value that we can get from this story is we are as a human don’t ever hurt the animal. We have to care them.
